Photo Challenge #1 (Hawaii in Nunavut? Or Summer in January?)

Inspired by Indigo pairing the words winter & beach, I came up with a fun photo challenge. Just keep your ears warm, because mine almost fell off. After waiting days for the weather to give in, I finally went out and took my winter beach photo in a blizzard, minus 24C and 70 km/hr winds.

Photo challenge: Go play up the beach in January. Send in your funny, goofy, snowy beach scenes. Email all submissions to nunavutnonsense AT gmail DOT com. If you can, please try to make your submissions 72 DPI. Your welcome to send in more then one submission. Judging for this challenge will start in 7 days. There are no prizes for photo challenges, just the glory of winning the title, best winter beach scene! All submissions welcome from Northerners or Southerners! HAVE FUN!!!

OMG the bathing suit. Too funny. I'm going to mull this one over for ideas.

Wish I had a digital (or even non-poster sized) copy of a picture I took years ago. Not Nunavut but Thompson Manitoba. North of town on the Highway there were two huge signs that said "Warning Winter Survival Equipment Recommended". Myself and another member went out in February with shorts, Hawaiian shirts and faux Tequila Sunrises, put up a beach umbrella and lawn chairs and took our picture in the snow under the sign. Ah memories.

HAHA I know it's terrible! It's one of those old lady suits with pointy boob cups! I don't normally wear it, I think I got it from my grandmother.

Clare,
That picture would have been perfect? Do you have a hard copy you could scan? You will just have to re-created the scene! :)

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Somebody in Kugluktuk has got to go pose by that sign that directs one to the swimming beach.
